Shivpal’s appeal came a day after BJP declared Raghuraj Singh Shakya as its candidate for the Mainpuri bypoll. Interestingly, Shakya had said that he would seek the blessings of his "political guru" Shivpal Singh Yadav for the December 5 by-election.
